These sites include the Old State House, The Wadsworth Atheneum (the first public museum in America), the Ancient Burying Ground, and beautiful and historic Bushnell Park, the first public park in America.
Downtown Hartford provides a cosmopolitan neighborhood experience with a diversity of housing options. The neighborhood has dozens of restaurants, cafes, bars, and nightclubs providing dining and nightlife for all tastes. Downtown is also known for its arts, theaters, and entertainment. Living Downtown allows you to walk to the Bushnell Theater, Hartford Stage, or Theaterworks.
The historic Bushnell Park provides many opportunities for recreation, relaxing, and entertainment. You can experience the Hartford Marathon, Jazz in the Park, and the Pump House Gallery within footsteps of your home. Downtown Hartford is the cultural and business center to the metro Hartford region. It is home to the Connecticut Whale and the home away from home for the UConn Husky’s basketball.
